This includes when you move as well as address changes made by the United States Postal Service or your local 9-1-1 Emergency Communications District when you have not physically relocated.

Important notice: If your name is or has been incorrectly placed on a previous ICBC-issued card and we become aware of it, you must correct your full legal name on your Driver's Licence, BC Identification Card or BC Services Card.
It’s different from an older-style paper driving licence, so make sure you don’t confuse the two.
The old style paper licences issued before 1998 are still valid, so hold onto yours.
While you are required to carry your driving licence or learner permit with you at all times when driving, you are not required by law to change your licence or permit if you change your name or address. When driving, you are required to show evidence of your licence or permit if requested to by An Garda Síochána, so your licence or permit should contain up-to-date information.

You must change the address on your driver's licence or BCID within 10 days of moving. If you want to update your address on your photo BC Services Card or BC Identification Card but are not a driver, please call us.
You can change your address on your driver's licence three ways-either by phone, in-person or online. If you have not received your address change sticker within two weeks, please call us or visit a driver licensing office. If you have a non-photo BC Services Card and want to update your address, please call Health Insurance B. If you've changed your name, you'll need to get a new licence or BCID card.
To do this, you’ll need your driving licence number, your National Insurance number, and your driving licence postcode.
This is all to simplify DVLA’s services – which should mean fewer forms and documents to keep track of.
